About Me

After finishing highschool in may 2014 I packed my backpack and grabbed my best friend Anna-Lena to go overseas for 8 months. We visited Dubai, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. We traveled through New Zealand and did some Work and Travel in Australia, we saw awesome sceneries and got to know the loveliest people. And the travel bug caught us, so the next adventure is not that far away!

During that time we used Anna's couchsurfing account, so all our pictures and references are on her profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/anna-lenaneukirchner

That's where my CS experiences began and how I realized the value of staying with locals. Right now, I'm preparing for my Erasmus semester in Sweden as I'm definitely not done traveling before settling down, marrying and all the other stuff ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I am traveling, I want to experience the real lifestyle and see how the locals live, so what could be better than sleeping on their couch?!

I've met so many awesome people through CS and they gave me a home far away from home. I found friends for life and they gave me so many insider tips about places that no tourist guide could tell you.

While I'm back home, I hopefully can give the same hospitality to other travelers who want to explore my home country. I'd love to show you around and give you some insider tips as well :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent two weeks in Uganda working on a social project of my hometown. This must have been one of my greatest cultural experiences: living with the locals so I could gain insights into their everyday lives as well as broaden my horizons. I did a safari tour through a National Park where I got to explore the breath-taking nature and was also lucky enough to catch a glimpse of beautiful wild animals!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Would love to share travel stories from all around the world and if I have the chance, I'd love to say 'thank you' by cooking a german meal for you :-)
