We are Sophie and Simon, a young couple from Germany. During our university studies, we enjoyed travelling during the holidays and visited many countries in Asia.

Having finished our studies, we are now travelling for several months. We started through Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and South Korea and are now travelling to Japan. We have been to Japan before, but loved the country so much that we want to see more of it!

We are both fluent in English, we can understand French and Sophie speaks basic Chinese. And well of course we both speak German. We love cultural exchange and trying new food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Our goal for Couchsurfing is to meet new people from all around the world, make new friends and to get local experiences in new places. In exchange we gladly offer stories of our travels, culture and language exchange or cooking some German food (we are no pros though).
We are looking forward to meeting you!

Simon loves making videos of all our trips. He spends hours on end editing our vlogs so we can share them with family and friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jungle trekking in Sumatra to see orangutans and camp in the wild. Definitely an amazing experience!

Sophie studied German to become a teacher and we would be happy to share our knowledge of German, English or anything else you would like to know.
