My name is Tjaša, I come from a small town called Brežice in Slovenia. I am 22 years old and I am still a student.

I study Marketing&PR and Graphic Design in Ljubljana, I am an active member of Student Society for PR in Slovenia and I actively engage in all sorts of activities and events regarding my "professional interests" :) I do concerts, festivals, conferences (like TEDx), lectures ... I am also interested into Media Production (photography, video, production, editing ...), in which I am now trying to improve.

I just finished my Erasmus exchange in Austria and am now trying to finish my studies in Ljubljana ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided it is due time to join couch surfing after my summer in The States, where I traveled around with my sister and spent a s*it load of money on hotels. I had this amazing experience in Telluride, Colorado, where we met a very sweet woman in a gallery. My sis' and I just walked in and talked in Slovenian and she approached to us and asked us where we are from. It turned out that she's been to Slovenia and she loved and missed it so much, she offered us a place to stay. We had an amazing time and made a new friend for life. In that moment I decided this is it - this is the way to go :)

Interests

So for the less official part of who I am, I can say that I am a big sports and adventure lover. I love rollercoasters, road trips, camping, hiking and lying on the sun with an umbrella in my drink ... :)

During the winter I like to snowboard a lot and in the summer I work and ride at a wake park located close to my home (you are more than welcome to come and check it out, I can teach you:)). One of my big dreams is to learn how to surf, and the biggest one would be to backpack through Thailand and India alone :)

I like to spend my summers having fun, traveling around and just pushing the limits of my comfort zone. I love traveling without a big plan - go with the flow and see where it takes you :) Mostly I travel around with my sister, who is also the most important and awesome person in my life :) She enabled me to follow my dreams, to believe in who I am and awakened my constant want for new experiences :)

I also love spending time with my friends who are a huge part of my life and everyday routine. I love cooking and drinking with them, going out or just hanging around playing a nice video or board game.

Very important part of my life is also my dog (Jack Russell Terrier - he is super sweet and loves people) and my love towards animals.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste developed from a very typical "teenage emo" phase, going through all kinds of rock to a very recent indie music and also electronic phase :)

Some of my favourite artist at the moment would probably be David Grey, Ben Howard, Peter Bradley Adams, Sea Wolf, Blind Pilot, Fort Atlantic, Arctic Monkeys, ...

As a am not very musical person myself, so I don't have strict preferences. I am very open to suggestions and I love to discover new tunes. As I do quite a lot of concerts in Slovenia, I know the home scene quite well and I would be happy to introduce you to it :)

I am not too big of a fan of movies in general, but I am a sucker for TV-shows. I've seen and re-watched Dexter, Breaking Bad, Prison Break, Better Call Saul, Games of Thrones, Hannibal, True Detective, Sherlock Holmes, Friends, Sex and The City, How I Meet Your Mother, Desperate Housewives, The Big Bang Theory, New Girl, Bates Motel, Salem, Family Guy, Burn Notice, White Collar ... And more :D

And as it goes for books ... I mostly read in the summer when I don't need to read for my studies :) Mainly I like to get lost in a nice long thriller.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't really specify what could be the one amazing thing that I've done. I like to think the best is yet to come. Life is amazing by itself, so I could say the amazing thing is simply living it every day to it's fullest :)
