À propos de moi

After two years in Leipzig I'm now back to (usually) being in Berlin, although I'm stilled enrolled in a media art diploma in Leipzig. I spend a lot of time on that, since it covers most of my interests in politics, philosophy, aesthetics and recently neural networks too. I try to go bouldering and dancing regularly but mostly I sit in the kitchen drinking coffee.
Other than that, I tend to travel quite a lot to see friends (and exhibitions) around Europa (and abroad once in a while).

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Everywhere I've lived and traveled I only really got to know the places through residents - on the other hand I can understand and appreciate my surroundings much better by sharing them.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

MOVIES
Iñárritu's old movies (Amores Perros, 21 grams, Babel, Biutiful), Ari Folman's "Waltz with Bashir" & "The Congress", Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo
And "Alice in Wonderland". Definitely. The 1951 version.

MUSIC
A lot of Jazz from the classics like Miles Davis (including "On the corner") and Ella Fitzgerald through Keith Jarret to contemporary proposals like Avishai Cohen (both, actually), BBNG, José James, Richard Spaven and most of the stuff my friends do.
Then Techno, House and everything in between; Mimi Love, Mira, Sarah Kreis/Caleesi, Bedouin and RSS Disco are some acts I love.
Finally, some acoustic stuff, like José Gonzalez, Iron and Wine, Nick Drake and Jackson C. Frank.

READING
20th century in Germany, especially post-war: Heinrich Böll, Bertholt Brecht, Thomas Mann. Contemporaries like Genazino.
Also, all sort of utopia/dystopia books: Orwell's "1984", Vonnegut's "Player Piano", Huxley's "Brave New World" or Stephenson's "Diamond Age".
Poetry: Brecht (again), Erich Fried, Federico Garcia Lorca. I admire Entzensberger's "Museum der modernen Poesie", in my opinion the nicest curation of poems ever published. Recently discovering Portuguese poets like Sá-Carneiro and of course Pessoa.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Bought a (probably) 70s Portuguese "Vilar" racing bike while living in Lisbon. Didn't know how to get it back home, so I made a trip from Lisbon to Southern Germany - a great experience with a lot of couch surfing!
