About Me
I'm your host who’d like to show you around Budapest, one of the most exciting, ever-changing and multicultural city that Berlin could be in 1990s! :)
I’m an always-smiling, open-minded, optimistic and idealistic guy, and practically it’s only three things that I'm interested in: people, myself and culture (I'm quite lucky because when I learn something about one of them, I usually gain knowledge about the two others as well).
I moved to the centre of the city around two years ago, because I really wanted to immerse myself into the city way of life, hanging around in the downtown, discovering new places and meeting new people . My flat is only 2-300 meters from the river Danube (I haven’t measured it in an exact way, but trust me :)), and it is a two-minute walk to the Parliament from here.
As a kind of culture enthusiast, I love art, literature and basically any kind of music (from Bach, through Sting to Wu-tang Clan), and since I bought my very first turntable some months ago, I’ve become a true vinyl junkie. I also love running and working out, and one of my favourite training places is Margitsziget (Margaret Island), ‘the green heart of Budapest’, which is also very close to me, and where a 5K running track and a street work out park can be used for free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Budapest is a must-see place in Europe nowadays: though there're a plenty of unique cultural events, new cafés, pubs, restaurants are appearing day by day, the city doesn’t get overrun with tourists.
I want to hang around with people from other countries, because it’s always exciting when one does not learn something about other parts of the world through books or films but genuine personal stories.
Besides, I want to improve my spoken English. :)
