Hey!

My name's Laurette, I live with my boyfriend Jérémy in Tours (center France, with Loire, castles and wine ahah), we love meeting and sharring with other people in France or abroad ! We're easy people to live, cooking lovers and we like spending time outside. We met in a summer camp while we toke care of children when we were 17 and then, we both turned teachers (physical education for Jérémy and social sciences for me).

So we're both teachers but this year, we decided to make a pause and traveling for 9 months around America (from San Francisco in USA to Ushuaia in Argentina if we can) ! We hope meeting some travelers or native people to share some good time and a part of their culture with us so let me know if you're in ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's an amazing concept, the entire world is your house and all people are connected! I love the way that we can discuss with people, sometimes meeting them and sharing good time together. Talking with native people of a country is one of the best way to discover and mostly understand it.

Interests

I love cooking and meanly eatting with friends and family, I guess it's my "French touch" ! Fortunatly, I also love sport (I practised a lot basketball when I was young), I would like to ride in the "Loire à vélo" which is a way fallowing a famous river with a lot of Castels from montains to Atlantic ocean.

I started being mad about travelling while I studied for 5 months in Mexico, that country was 8 times bigger than my native one but at the end, I knew it better ! I also visited Washington when I was at school and I'm still in touch with the family who hosted me, they were just amazing ! With my boyfriend, we already visited Croatia, New-York, South Mexico and Italia !

I'm interest on ecology, the "zero waste concept" and protecting nature (which means trees, animals but also humans around the world) in general.
