One friend of mine talked to me about Couchsurfing and I believe it is awesome! Also because is really easy to sign in and make a lot of friends :)

Usually when I travel I stayed at hostels because you meet more people than in a hotel, but I think with Couchsurfing you can make people feel like they have a second home.
