I’m Isabirye, a multifaceted individual dedicated to making the world a better place. As a lawyer, writer, social entrepreneur and passionate community builder, I founded Isabirye Foundation , an NGO that harnesses the power of voices and a dynamic space where volunteers from around the world unite to create positive change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As the founder of Isabirye Foundation, a social entrepreneur, lawyer and writer , I’m on Couchsurfing to connect with likeminded individuals , share Ugandan culture and facilitate cultural exchange. I host travels in Jinja , Eastern, Uganda and collaborate on community development projects , showcasing my NGO’s initiatives. Through Couchsurfing , I aim to network , learn from diverse perspectives , and foster global awareness about Ugandan social issues. I also seek meaningful connections , lifelong friendships and personal growth through cultural immersion and exchange. By sharing my experiences and welcoming travelers into my community , I strive to create a ripple effect of positivity and social change.

Empowering communities through education and social entrepreneurship.
I founded Isabirye Foundation which has:
1. Established a free training center for underprivileged youth and women in Jinja , Uganda providing skills in IT, entrepreneurship and art.
2. Developed mentorship programs connecting our beneficiaries with international professionals , fostering cultural exchange and personal growth.
3. Organized community workshops on human rights , health and environmental conservation , impacting over 5,000 community members .
4. Created a sustainable livelihood project supporting 200 women in rural Uganda through Microfinance and business training.
5. Founded a community library and resource center , providing access to educational materials and digital resources.
6. Organized cultural events and festivals celebrating Ugandan heritage.
7. Hosted over 50 international volunteers and travelers promoting cultural understanding and exchange.
