After using Couchsurfing as travellers for a few years, we are now accepting guests in our flat in London with my girlfriend, Lola. We can accept requests max 1 week in advance (last minute preferred), we only accept 1 or 2 nights requests (and then sometimes we can extend after we have met the person). We need to have some info about you and your travelling in your request message ;)

My name is Fruzsi, I am from Hungary but I have lived in London for the past 8 years where I am now doing a degree in Anthropology and Music. I love music - all sorts as long as it's played soulfully, but mainly old jazz, gypsy jazz, classical, folk and world music. I play guitar and sing and experiment with a few other instruments as well on a very basic level (piano, percussion and recently the clarinet). Musicians guests are very welcome to jam with us! I love nature and animals and my plan is to set up a commune somewhere remote once I finish my degree. I am interested in sustainable living, non violent communication, psychology, neurology, art and its relationship to well-being.
By profession I am a massage therapist. I am also into cooking and cycling.
I love meeting interesting people share meals, conversations and music. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because we need a place to stay... or we want to give back something the universe, it depends :) Also because I believe in human relations and in the magic of random meetings. Through Couchsurfing I met people whom I probably would have never met otherwise due to different lifestyles and interests and that is why it is pretty magical. I also believe that deep down we aren't that different, Couchsurfing offers a great platform to re-discover this.

PLEASE NOTE: We are really happy to host people but we have busy lives and sometimes we will probably not have much time to spend with our guests. We might be able to share a meal or to go out somewhere with you, but we might not. Having used Couchsurfing a lot ourselves, we perfectly understand that the needs of a traveller can be to have a social experience but can also be to just have a place to stay without the pressure of being social all the time. We would appreciate if you share your mood regarding these needs in your message.

Interests

I studied Swedish massage therapy but I also had the opportunity to from very talented therapists who follow different methods of which I apply some in my practices.

Cooking has been my passion for many many years and I find it a useful way to express creativity and love. Cycling is part of my everydays.

I am probably most passionate about music and human nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think musically I am pretty open. I love folk music from all over the world, jazz, blues, 60's stuff and classical music. I love poetry. I mainly read about Anthropology these days, music and trauma treatment with different alternative methods.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have seen is probably the kindness in people which is still alive after such a rough collective history. That amazes me as well the compassion between living beings. Music of course, and nature.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a keen cook, very much enjoy preparing nice meals for others. We can also play and sing some tunes together or teach you some things on the guitar/piano. 🙂
