About Me

--- I can only host one person at a time and only women. Please don't ask for a place if you are in a group or a man---

I love travelling, cycling, speaking in foreign languages, and reading a nice book under the shadow of an accommodating tree. I am now finishing med school in Brazil!
I had the opportunity of spending one year in London doing a Master in Epidemiology and Public Health, during which I had the opportunity to host many incredible people and thereafter visit amazing places in Europe with the support from locals who were able to introduce my to parts of the local culture that I will never forget.
Unfortunately I've used different sources other than this app to meet these people, which is why these experiences aren't documented in these reviews. But I would love to share them with you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a little girl, I loved meeting friends of my parents from all over the world and I would love to study their languages in order to be able to communicate to them. Then I grew older and fell in love with travelling all over the world.

I have been hosting people at home in London ever since I moved here to in September 2015 (most of which I have met through the Brazilian couchsurfing, which is why I don’t have many references here) that have brought along amazing experiences and ideas and have also allowed me to get to know my city better, as I always try to make sure I will visit at least some part of London with them after Uni.
Also, one of my most remarkable experience as a guest I had my first experience as a guest. I was doing a bike trip with two other friends on the Loire Valley in France and, as they are much more experienced than I am, they made up my mind that I should have this amazing experience involved with couchsurfing.
It’s hard to describe with words how magic this trip was. Not only the kindness of each host. One with amazing and super-smart children together with which we could have the honour of cooking dinner (and teach some Brazilian recipes) and play some games. Another with a fantastic background on self-knowledge and alternative medicine that we were very fortunate they could share with us. Finally, a young couple that has saved us when we got lost in the forest with wild pigs and made sure they would introduce us to the French music culture.
The exchange that couchsurfing provides between people from different parts of the world is what has been amazing me most on Couchsurfing. The pleasure of getting to know a bit of the way how you live, of the ideas you cultivate and what you value in life, hopefully being able to offer some bit of my beliefs in exchange, is what motivates me to continue on Couchsurfing.
I won’t deny: I am definitely not the best cook in the world. But if we have enough time together, I will do my best to give you some taste of some Brazilian food. And although I am (usually) not the most talkative person in the world, I am sure I can share some experiences I’ve had over time and be a pleasant company!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping in the beach in Brazil and waking up together with the sun, so as to see (and help) a newborn sea turtle go to the sea

A bike trip on the Loire Valley: Cycling up to 80 km in a day, getting lost in the forest and seeing the sun rise: One of the most incredible experiences I've ever had, with wonderful landscapes and castles and friends that I've made via Couchsurfing that I will never forget.
