NOTE: Regardless of the fact that I have registered on the CS a year ago, I am actually new and without experiences with this kind of stuff, so please do not mind if I didn't understood well how to introduce myself in this place.

I am an astrophysics student at the University of Belgrade (Serbia) interested in science and education (and whole lot of stuff beside that), etc.

I am working at Petnica Science Center (institution for extracurricular science education for high school students) as Junior Assistant, and as I like meteors and the Solar System, I do some observing, teaching and tutoring at Petnica Meteor Group, as in Deparment of Astronomy of Petnica Science Center. Also, I am working as a co-producer, host and editor of one science podcast (Radio Galaksija) at Center for the Promotion of Science in Serbia. And so on, and so on...

My other big love is music (especially jazz). I play trumpet (and beside that a little bit of drums, guitar, piano and accordion).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people is one huge advantage for learning about life, self, Universe and everything else. Also, if you can help somebody to travel somewhere, meet new people and learn new things, there is no reason not to do it.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I can only mark off some directors (can't write a whole list of movies I love/like, it's long): Tarkovsky, Zvyagintsev, Kieslowsky, Wenders, Theo Angelopoulos, von Trier, Jarmusch, Charlie Kaufmann, ... that kind of sensibility. I also like non-verbal cinema (Godfrey Reggio & Ron Fricke, of course) and documentaries (Herzog, before everybody). And also some TV series, which must be mentioned: Twin Peaks, Continuum, Person of Interest, House of Cards, House MD, Master and Margarita (2005)...

As for the books, I love the prose of Borgues, Eco, Sabato, Lem, Danilo Kiš, Borislav Pekić, ... And I enjoy the books of Richard Feynman, Carl Sagan and a whole bunch of other literature about science and exploring the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm... I injured my inner muscles and ribs by practicing trumpet once. xD

Oh, and I initiated an organized lectures about philosophy of physics at the University of Belgrade which later turned into a course for master students at the Faculty of Philosophy.
