Hey everyone,

my name is Benedikt, but I prefer to use the English version Ben or my Chinese name 高家志. I grew up in the city Recklinghausen which is in the very western part of Germany - quite close to Dortmund (which you might have come across if you are into football). After having finished high school, I moved to the beautiful Tübingen in South-West Germany since my university is there. Last year I finished my exchange year in Taiwan which was part of my degree - I am studying Math, Chinese and Physics for being a high school teacher afterwards.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I am on couchsurfing is that lots of friends had wonderful experiences and met incredibly welcoming people in Taiwan. I will be back in Germany soon, so I don't want to miss the chance to collect this experience. I already visited a few Taiwanese friends at home and spend Chinese New Year with the family of a friend - these have been very impressive experiences since it is so different to the Taiwanese life in Taipei. Being back in Europe now, I still want to keep having these wonderful experiences.
