Hello everybody! My name is Igor, and I come from Poland - beautiful land of slavic people who live between furious waves of Baltic sea in the north and wise, old mountains in the south.
Land, where you can see old, beautiful towns, modern centres, and communistic post-industrial cities. Aglomerations being babies of eclectism, where standing in one place and making 360* circle will lead you through history longer than avarage programme on Nat Geo. Motherland of men, whose ancestor's blood was being greedy drank by soil of it, during all the wars, occupations and uprisings. Country of the guy, who replaced Earth with the Sun. Country of the first Noble Prize female winner, guy who you owe Max Factor's cosmetics, and best plumbers in the USA. - Ok...the end about the country, but if you really want, ask me in private message about continuation of this pathetic describtion.

I am a former law student, which I abandoned after realizing that I don't want to participate in that law-machine, neither to end as some corpo-rat in these glassy Babel towers.
Now I am polish philology student, still looking for a patch in life. Some people said that I am an interesting person, that I always have got a lot to tell, and that I am intelligent...I didn't pay them, so I believed ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Let's say that travelling doesn't end on sightseeing the "must-see"places. Beautiful nature is a case of terrain, yes, but culture of a country depends on a nation, and nation is created by people.
It is interesting for me to get to know how other people see life and world, how the place they were brought up in influenced on them and immerse a little bit in their little universe.
This is also what I would like to share with others.

I am interested in european international affairs, world's politic conditions. Of course Polish inner policy as well...Psst! If you have got some nice conspiracy theories to share...don't hestitate to give me a sign!
Literature! The best are big, long, heavy russian books, especially about some village life, gulags, or other ubernaturalized picture of human's life. Antiutopian books and all themes about it is what I love. I also like poetry (even tryy to write someting by myself), especially admiring japanese haiku or jisei no ku, which are my favourite sort. It is just amazing how people can catch their soul and whole life in 2-3 lines of a poem!
I like finding new interests as well, so who knows, maybe YOU will be the case of 'infecting' me with some new, exciting hobby, hm? I would love to listen about what makes you feel good in prose of life!
