Overview
About Me
I'm an adventurous girl, who grew up hiking and swimming in the blue ridge mountains of North Carolina. I love being in nature, having deep conversations, and really good, local food. I recently graduated from Warren Wilson College with a BS in Environmental Chemistry. I'm a scientist by trade and hope to dedicate my life to understanding and preserving the natural systems that essentially sustain us. Specifically, I study chemical contamination in wildlife and humans. I am interested in endocrine disrupting chemicals and their effect on reproductive development. I also sing opera and jazz and I used to play the vibes and marimba. Also, I'm an avid dancer (swing, contra, waltz, blues) and I love going out at night to dance clubs for live music and drinks. I am super passionate and driven to be the best person I can be and to always achieve my goals.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Thats why I'm on couch surfing: to achieve my first solo traveling adventure to Europe! I want to meet interesting people, be low budget, and have a real experience of the places I visit.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am traveling primarily to attend a conservation biology conference where I hope to teach people about my research on the effects of habitat fragmentation on toad and frog diversity. I hope to learn so many new things from the talks I will hear. I hope to share my love of nature and excellent science and the joy I get from living a very intensional, go-for-it type of life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a very courteous guest and will not ask too much past your comfort zone or abilities. I am keen on other's emotions and sensitive to other's needs. I would love to share cooking a meal together or going out for food, dancing, or drinks. I also can be quiet and know others need that too. I can share my scientific knowledge and info about reducing exposure to everyday chemicals. I can share my joyful spirit and love of adventure! Also, I will sing for you!!!
