Hi everybody! My name is Véra and I'm a 34 year-young woman from the Netherlands. Traveling alone makes me very happy, cause I can meet new people from over the whole world with different backgrounds, cultures and ways of life!

In 2013, after working as a teacher for a couple of years (graduated in 2009), I quitted my job, took my car and drove to Paris to build a new life there. I've learned a lot of myself in Paris. After 4 months I drove back to Holland, started this new study what made me more happy then ever before! I could finally express my creativity! I’m graduated last summer, CUM LAUDE, and I am so proud of myself!
Currently I still work with young kids with language- and development problems to make myself a living.

I'm trying to be as positive as possible in life! We only live once! Try to live life and create it as best as possible!

I have a very wide interest in music. I don't have a real favorite genre, but music has a big influence at my emotions, so I like to music what calms me down, makes me happy, or makes me feel positive! That can be Jazz, Classic, pop, indie, alternative etc.
I also have some guilty pleasures in music... (ask me!)

I like to watch movies but I’m bad in remembering their titles. For movies it's the same as in music: I like to feel good by/after watching it. So I prefer a good story, comedies, romantic ones and some drama with happy ends. No thriller and horror for me please! Some movies that I liked and remember the name of: Intouchables, Frozen😊, the Holiday, Chocolat, Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulin, Avatar, Divergent, The fault in our stars, The green mile, Léon.....

Prefer to read self-help books. Best one so far were "the Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod, "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle and "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. Like to read fiction too. Mostly read in English.
But still, you don't get experiences by books, you'll get them by life!

Moved to another country (Paris, France) to found out that I could live everywhere, BUT that I need to be happy wherever I may live. Because sadness, you take it with you. So change your habits, not your hometown! (Or do both!)

I'm still a teacher in my heart, so I love to tell people things they don't know yet. I can tell people a lot about the Dutch (that means of the Netherlands) culture, about interior design, about being positive in life. You can practice your English or French with me. Or if you want to learn to speak dutch, I'm all yours too! 😊

But I'm a real learner too. You never stop learning in your life! I love to learn new things, I'm really curious! i wanna learn about other cultures and cities histories!

I love to have good conversations, discussions and sharing experiences!
