ABOUT ME

I'm a very easygoing person. I love learning new things and experiencing new places. I'm interested in getting to know people's opinions and perspectives. I still don't know exactly what I want to do for a living, but I'm fine with that. I'm a vegetarian who still eats eggs and dairy, but I don't mind other people eating meat – we all have perceive life in a different way, respecting one another opinions is the first step to a more compassionate world.

I love cats and dogs, and don't have much problems with bugs. I sleep very well at mostly any place, and I'm very helpful with small house cleaning. Trust me: I won't be a problem! And if for some reason my host have any complaints, I'm very open to them.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I've joined Couchsurfing because I believe in the philosophy behind it. It's always very compensating to help another even when we don't get anything material in return. I'm looking forward to meet new people and make them welcome when they come to Brasilia. I'm not accepting guests right now because my studies had made me very busy, but in a couple of months the situation (and hopefully the place) will change.

Intereses

I'm interested in languages and how one perceives the world through it. I'm also interested in philosophy, sociology, anthropology, mythical and mystical creatures... I like to think about the cosmos and that there's more to life than we see it.

Música, películas y libros

On music the first name that comes to mind is David Bowie, then Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley, The Smiths, Radiohead. On movies it is a long list, some are: La Belle Verte (The Green Beautiful), The Salt of the Earth, The Joy Luck Club, Padre Pio. I also enjoy watching TV series like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and some others from Netflix. I'm currently reading Autobiography of a Yogi, by Paramahansa Yogananda, and three translations of Beowulf - corpus of my thesis.

Algo increíble que he hecho

There are two things that changed my life completely: the first was being an au pair in Holland for a year in 2011; the second has been my master's degree: I have learnt so much that it amazes me to think about the old and the new Candida. I'm so proud of the new me that I want to keep on changing through experience and knowledge.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Besides the subject of my study, I've been very interested in astrology lately and I have learn a bit of it. I will be a pleasure to attempt reading my hosts natal charts!
