About Me

I have limited but wonderful experiences from couch surfing while on a trip to Europe with my gypsy art studio as well as in New York. I’m headed to Japan/Tokyo focued on Risograph printing, shunga and enjoying both nature and the city. I’m forever interested in making/maintaining connections in the art world for future creative projects/residencies. I’m a queer single relationship anarchist momma of three fabulously feral young adults, but most of my travel is independent for my work as an art professor for a local college. I’m a podcast & audio book junkie & love to have conversations with people about things we find curious in this weird wild world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and connect with fellow human beans, so this is an ideal form of experiencing new places! I've been lucky enough to Couchsurf a few years ago in Europe and recently in New York. I'm in love with the whole concept/community & the range of people & experiences it brings. I’m a spontaneous & energetic person that finds sleep to be optional when I’m in new places, there’s too much fun to be had for that :)

Interests

I love art of all kinds, making visuals is my thing, while finding beautiful places to draw & mentally wander. I'm into whole foods, sustainability, social justice, feminism & movement of all kinds...yoga/hiking/swimming/biking/surfing/climbing/dancing :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes. To all of it. I cried when I was 5yrs old and realized there was not enough time in my life to read all of the books or hear all of the music...but I will die trying to!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught a Study Abroad course in Spain & painted a mural with borracho students😂

Somehow I can find fringe loving folk wherever I land ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Drawing, Swimming, Yoga, Knitting & Crochet are all things I've taught for a living, not all at the same time tho...that'd be fun.
I'd love to learn how to draw/paint with spraypaint on walls...or I'll happily make a mess while I figure it out :)
**update** my awesome host in Vienna & I had a blast making our mark along the walls of the Danube! Still a lot to learn about how to make spray paint do what I want it to do...
I love exploring languages & I've learned/forgotten the basics of guitar too many times to count! Someday it will stick, maybe practicing would help.
