My name is Helder, I'm from Amarante, Portugal. Amarante it's a beautiful City close to Porto! I lived there almost all my life. Anyway, now I live in Swizterland because I'm working here (Portugal doesn't have many jobs for young people)!
In Portugal I was technical health and safety at work, I worked in a tunnel. I was also a fireman during 6 years(volunteer). One of the best experiences ever! I made volunteer also in Cyprus with people from Portugal, Italy, Greece, Poland, Lithuania and of course Cyprus! I'm a lucky guy because my hometown have a place for volunteers from everywhere and I met amazing people with different cultures. Now it's my time to travel! I think that I'm a good guy ;P and I like meet people, have fun... I like to see new places, new faces... I can be a good friend! If you don't believe me... Ask my friends!!! :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Easy, I'm a kind of person that likes to share! If I can help people on couchsurfing, why not? I like to travel so I would like a place for stay and some people for guide me too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Portugal fireman is also like paramedics and save lifes, help people, be a friend for who doesn't have no one else... Yes, one of the amazing things I have done! The feeling is unspeakable! When someone call you friend, even son, hero... I fought fire, I rescued people and I was a friend for some seniors! For real I miss it a lot!
