About Me

Hi!

my name is Daniel and I am a 21-year-old civil engineering student from Siegen Germany! Right now I am studying in Bahía Blanca, Argentina. I am going to travel at the end of july and I am excited to see New York for my first time!

I define myself as a person that wants to create happiness. I enjoy laughing and living but I also want to find a way to give other people the feeling of happiness that I have. I also like to motivate others to dream and to step out of their comfort zones.

When it comes to what I do and love it is always 100% or no deal. Life is to short for wasting my time and money on things that I don't want to do!

Will Smith - "If you're not making someone else's life better, than you're wasting your time."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just wanted to check out Couchsurfing because I really like the idea of it. Unfortunately I can't host anyone during my stay in Bahía Blanca because I am living with an argentinian family and they don't want to live with any strangers.

For me as a traveler I think couchsurfing is a great way to get to know people from all around the world better than with staying in a hostel. But I don't need to be entertained!

As a host -I mean right now I can't host- I like to support people, to help them saving some money for their travel.

Interests

My hobbies are sports, music, magic and filmmaking. Sports and Music as a hobby may seem like a blanket statement; But they accompanied me all of my life and I tried out a lot of different sports!

I have been playing american football in Germany, apnoe diving and playing soccer.

When it comes to music I either enjoy listening to music or making music myself. I play the guitar and the piano. Here in Bahía I don't have a piano so I am just playing guitar and trying to improve my vocals...

Filmmaking and magic is kind of a "new-old-hobby". I enjoyed it a lot when I was at highschool and now I am slowly getting back to that.

I love to watch american football. I am with the Patriots (but I am not watching NFL at all)! My favorite college team are the Oregon Ducks and I used to watch a lot of their games. I also played american football in Germany but after I was injured for too long I didn't really start again. I do not intend to start again.
Due to the lack of time and the fact, that my shoulder injury didn't completely heal I am just running and going to the gym at the moment.

I also love to travel. I have been traveling in Europe and now I am in Argentina. I am going to New York soon and then I will go to visit my friends in Mexico.
When I am back in Europe the first country I am going to visit shall be greece.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music & Movies: I love almost everything. Exceptions are movies like Saw and horror movies.

Books: I HATE READING. I am resistant to books. Even if I want to read books: I can't.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting full control of myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the only way you can be successful in life is to stay a beginner. I like to hear new ideas and to continue trying to be the best me I can possibly be. I made so many experiences. Very good ones but also very painful ones. I am very open and also very open minded so I can talk almost about everything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Over the years a lot of experiences have been summing up to something that now defines who I am. I can share almost everything but I prefer to do it in debate.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Croatia, France, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Argentina, Germany
