About Me
Currently on exchange in Australia, stay around this part of the world till end of September to travel.
open-minded, curious, modest, honest, ambitious, tidy...
Before studying biology in Vienna I graduated at the Commercial College Gmünd (Lower Austria) with excellent success. One of the most important lessons I learnt during those five years was how globalisation has changed planet earth and how crucial international networks, coordination and cooperation are. I enjoyed language trips to Canterbury (UK) where we also visited London and Dover as well as to Paris. In the year between I did social service in a hospital where I experienced practising important values like care for people in need, kindness, love and respect.
Despite all the opportunities business is offering I figured out that I want to contribute to a more sustainable world, examine ways how we can live in harmony with our planet for many generations, therefore also learn to understand the ecosystems which I can do best by studying ecology.
From February to beginning of July I was spending the last term of my Bachelor in Oulu/Finland as an Erasmus-student. I think that especially as an ecologist it’s very precious to gather international experience in order to be able to take on the global challenges. In the course of a semester abroad, you break out of your academic routine, face many different situations, get to know so many people from around the world with different backgrounds, stories…which all contributes to your personal growth and independence.
...sooo after my first term of the Master of Ecology and Ecosystems in Vienna I am going to Sydney (Macquarie University) again as an exchange :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
spent almost 4 weeks in Costa Rica last summer - amazing cloud and rainforest...
went the longest trail near La Gamba alone in the afternoon, which actually wasn't as good as the people said there - had to hike around a bit beside in the forest... which was quite an adventure with seeing/knowing that it got dark soon...
a sharp contrast to the tropics was a Lapland trip (to Vasatokka with ice-hole-swimming, northern lights, at the arctic ocean in Bugøynes, Norway; cross-country and downhill skiing, husky-safari)
and also in a field course skiing up to the top of the hill at Riisitunturi, Finland where all the trees were cased in massive snow cover which gave them a very special shape
Teach, Learn, Share
went through quite a lot already, some experience about business (from commercial college...), science, education, summer jobs, 8 months social service in a hospital...
German, English
figured out that ultimately everything is just a reflection of your inside, past (family...)... that most people are not aware of their enormous power they have to create their life, I try to see everything as an opportunity for personal growth/development, to give the best to the world, finding my purpose in life
Don't forget to sometimes stop and be really present in the moment!
