About Me
My full name is Chai Siu Wen. You can call me whatever you like to call. Believe me or not, I have 5 nicknames ;p
My ultimate life goal: To be a global citizen.
I don't own a house because the world is my house.
If you felt the same way I do, let us rock the world together!!!
Determined to be a traveler, not a tourist. This is my life mission, to know more about the world. I meet people from all around the world. I listen to all the stories. I share all the experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I encountered to this website when I tried to know more about a friend. After getting to know about Couchsurfing, I opened an account, offered myself as a host and hosted by a couchsurfer too :)
This is a good platform to meet all the people around the world. This is not only providing a shelter for people, but we can do more like experience sharing, culture exchange and language learning as well.
Maybe I can't go to your place, but it would be my biggest pleasure to meet you all at my motherland.

I listen to all music. I don't have preference on it. But if I like the song, I'll find out the song name and learn it :p
Definitely no horror movie for me. Ya, I can go with you but just to let you know that I'll definitely hide at your back.
I prefer to read motivational and health related books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
ADP visit to Mae Sariang
It was a 6D5N volunteer trip to Mae Sariang with World Vision Malaysia. The places that we visited are really far from the city, the roads were bumpy, with limited facilities and resources. We went to a school community with about 400 students and brought along four big containers of ice cream. They were so happy when receiving the ice cream from us. The teachers mentioned that some of the children had never tried ice cream before. I was so touched by it. I was so glad to be there and have shared this memorable moment with them. This is totally different in my motherland. Our parents tried to fulfill the children’s needs, but they are still not satisfied with the thing that they have. At the end, everyone is unhappy. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
I got a chance to talk with a student. He was an 18-year-old boy, who had came there all the way from Myanmar. He asked me a question, "Do you live with your family?" Suddenly, I had no idea how to answer his question. I smiled to him and answered him that I did live with my family,. This question impacted me a lot. Looking back to the people surrounding us, we are busy with the work at outstation, just to give the family a better life. But is it the thing that the family members hope for? I get inspired that time flies. When I'm growing up, parents are growing older. It's time to go back home, call them to give a warm greeting. Never wait until we have lost them, appreciate the time with the one that you love.
