Hi, my name is Pookie, a nickname my friends and family call me that I go by. I live in the beautiful Florida Keys, home to a laid back lifestyle and unbelievable reefs. Yeah, I live where you vacation! I am a sophomore in college, and is on scholarship for both softball and soccer. Traveling is my true passion, my experience is limited, due to my short life so far on this earth, but I thirst to simply learn about my fellow man, other cultures and what makes this planet beautiful.

I WAS on couchsurfing to find hosts to stay with during my trip to Thailand a year ago, but I have not been one here since I came back to the states. It might be something I change, however. I like the idea of meeting and interacting with people, much more than simply paying for a hotel room.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Just this past year, after my high school graduation, I traveled to Thailand and backpacked there, solo, for a month. It was an incredibly experience, and one I earned 100% by myself, no entitled-teenager middle class binge trip for me... I put a new definition to the term "roughing it." That trip alone has changed my view on so many things this past year, I can't wait to travel more.

I love to make conversation! I like to think I'm a happy go lucky person, so getting to know new people is one of my favorite things to do!
I was also raised in a very small home, with a larger number of siblings, so I'm very aware of being tidy .. (I also lived with a crazy neat freak as a roommate for my first semester, so needless to say, the habit stuck!)
