About Me

I am a Mexican biologist, who of course like, enjoy and cares about nature!
At the moment, i live in Germany, since i am accomplishing my PhD studies on Biotechnology-Plant Breeding.
I like hiking and just walk around for hours! I also enjoy swimming, since some time in my life i practiced synchronized swimming. I also enjoy reading a book or cooking, COOKING IS A PASSION FOR ME!
One of my major concerns is the lost of natural resources and poverty in my country. Thats why i participate in the project Agroecol, formed by students of different study areas, with the aim of helping to the development of poor communities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Coachsurfing because i will travel to Canada soon. I realized it was not so easy to get contact with people just to other social media. I never heard about this before, but it was recommended and i am eager to give it a try.

Interests

I am interested in nature, conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. I am committed to help people to use those resources in a responsible way in order to overcome poverty and hunger.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is quite broad: The Cure, Pink Floyd, Phoenix, Beatles, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots... and latin music of course!
My favorite movies? I can say: Clockwork Orange, Hotel Rwanda, The Secret Life of Plants (documentary), Los Olvidados (The Forgotten Ones), Trainspotting...
Favorite books: 100 years of Solitud, Malinche, Nosotras que nos queremos tanto ("We, who love each other so much", there´s no exact translation i think), Mal e amores (Lovesick)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing i have done definitely has been coming to Germany to study, without speaking german and no single person i knew before! It has been really amazing to get to know so many different people, to get a cultural shock, to learn the language, to suffer and enjoy the winter at the same time!
