Hello,
I'm Katerina and I live in Třinec, which is small town in the east of Czech republic. I still live in the detached house with my parents and younger brother.

I study master degree of Regional Geography at the Palacky University in Olomouc. This is one of the reasons why I love travelling, exploring new countries and making new friends :)

I could tell about myself that I'm friendly, kind, optimistic, responsible and talkative person. Also I appreciate positive and cheerfull people who likes adventures, are spontaneous and on which I can rely on.

My favorite quote is: "We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us"!

My opinion is that we have to enjoy the life as much as we can, we have to travel a lot and do not waste a life, because we live just once!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that CS is the best way how to get know new countries, make new friends and get to know local culture. Also locals can show the most beautiful places and give some tips for travelling. It's great to meet people who share same interets with you and tell you some interesting travelling experiences and stories.

I have never tried couchsurfing, but my brother and some friends tryied it couple times and told me their great experiences.. I was excited! That's why me and my boyfriend would love try it as well :)

Due to I live in the house with my parents I can't host you. I'm sorry. But in few years when I'll finish studying at university and move to my own flat/house I would love to host you! :)

Interests

Besides travelling I enjoy cooking, especially healthy meals because I'm interested in healthy lifestyle and sport as well (hiking, snowboarding, riding a bicycle, cross fit). I love trying new and traditional dishes abroad!
Also I like watching movies, listening music and hanging out with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite musicians are Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, The Script, Ed Sheeran, Arctic Monkeys etc. but basically I can listen every genre.
I like movies with Leonardo Dicaprio such as The Great Gatsby, Shutter Island, Catch me if you can or comedies with Adam Sandler.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took part on the Work and Travell program in the USA in the summer 2015 and 2016 where I was working as kitchen staff in the camp for kids. At the end we were travelling with my friends for 18 days across the USA- we visited 5 cities (NYC, Philladelphia, Las Vegas, LA, SF) and some national parks- Grand canyon, Zion park and Red rock canyon. We planned the trip by ourselfs... so we rent a car in the west cost and did a small road trip. This summer we travelled in the east coast of the USA. We visited Boston, New York, Washington DC, Miami, Key West and we went on the cruise to Bahamas Islands. It was the best experience of my life!

During Erasmus program 2 years ago I was studying in Coimbra, Portugal for one semester. I made so many friendships with people from all around the Europe and Brazil. I will never forget this experience. On Erasmus I realized that travelling is meaning of my life.
