I am an easy going contemporary dancer from Winnipeg Manitoba. I like going on canoe trips and meeting people - Im not very shy. I am a dedicated cyclist, and an avid reader. I believe in active local and community development - this is one of the reasons couchsurfing appeals! I spend a lot of time and energy in my friends and family.

I think there is an incredible amount of value in exploring new places by meeting and talking with the people who live their lives there. You get an alternative travel experience, a more unique flavour of the city! I think that couchsurfing provides great opportunity to meet new people. Also, I like the idea that it is a form of community development. I would rather spend my time in a new friend's home then in a generic hotel.

Intereses

My day to day interests include dancing, yoga and spending time outside, especially biking or hiking. I adore playing card games and board games, and I catch on quick. My favourites are Crib and Catan. I love school. I try to live sustainably, and am always looking to learn more about that. I am interested in environmental development practices. I like animals - if you have pets I will try to cuddle them. I enjoy cooking and baking - My parents are chefs, so Im pretty open minded about food! I believe fresh is best - I try to source locally, and do not eat fast food. I have a massive sweet tooth. Especially when it come to french macarons. I like doing phsyical things like rock climbing and swimming. I enjoy red wine and chocolate. I am interested in meeting new people.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I performed at the National Arts Center in Ottawa in Ted Robinson's 60 Dancer Project at Canada's dance festival last year - the graduates of 5 different dance schools across Canada combined for 5 days to create an intense and powerful 1 hour piece. It was incredible meeting dancers from all over Canada - I feel like I learned so much from the experince. It did not feel like an hour long performance from the inside - it went by so quickly! We used this heavy canvas material, and large sticks for head balancing. The whole thing was accompanied my live musicans and singers on stage with us. It was pretty cool.

I can teach you basic Vipassana or Anapadma meditation techniques. I am a very novice guitar player - if you play I would love to learn more! I enjoy singing, so even if you don't want to teach we can collaborate. I pretty open minded, I like learning new things.

I can teach you some dance moves - maybe some contact improv techniques! You would have an enthusiastic person to bike or practice yoga or listen to some tunes with. I enjoy cooking - we can do that! I make a mean breakfast bagel. I also make good ruhbarb jam. If you want to engage in some cultural activity such as seeing some dance or a play or music or anything else like that, Im in! If you wanted a more low key/cost efficient experience, Im down for that too. I will play any board/card game you want me to. I am a kind and smart and social person - I would love to share information about my life experiences so far.
