Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend and I both had full time jobs, but after a couple of years we wanted to see more of the world so in 2015 we went on a trip for half a year. During our trip we stayed at artist residencies and we discovered couchsurfing. I started Couchsurfing to save money and meet locals because you have a bigger chance you'll end up in strange and unusual places and I love those.

Right now I'm hosting couchsurfers, because meeting people from abroad in your own place is also a nice way of traveling. And who know, maybe we can stay at your place as well .

I can't teach you all the ins and outs of Amsterdam, we've been living here for 1 year and we barely scratched the surface. Still lots of things to explore. But I can pretend I know everything. I can share stories, show some of our animations.

I can teach you to make something barely edible within 2 minutes, but my girlfriend Ruth can teach you how to make a patatje oorlog, pannenkoeken, stampot. I can teach you how to eat it.
