I like to be with other people and share a laugh (about me or other people ;) but I also like serious discussions about almost anything. Could't imagine living alone at the moment.

Some things I like: Music, to be outdoors, swimming, cooking, politics, river rafting, cycling, solar panels, jazz concerts with a cold beer, watching the squirrel in our garden, looking at the stars, saving the world and of course nice CS hosts/guests ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of Couchsurfing a lot. I like to get in contact with a foreign culture not only with its touristic industry. So when I'm surfing I try to be a curious and friendly guest, the same as I expect from my guests.

I hosted couchsurfers from Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Austria, Spain, Canada, Brazil, Peru, Scotland, Malaysia and France until now.

Maybe one day I will also hang up this stereotypical world map with pins on it. Maybe.

Interests

Music is very important for me. I play the trombone in several bands (reggae, world music, big band). But not only making music myself or with friends but also listening to music or going to concerts.

I like to be outdoors and I also like sports, so I practice things like jogging, sport climbing, skitouring and cycling.
I also like to cook and try new recipes out.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: My favourite book is "The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy". I also like thrillers and Biographies.

Films: I like watching complicated films. As an example "Inception" or "Shutter Island".
Recently I watched "The man from Earth", I also liked that one a lot.

Music: I mostly hear Reggae and Alternative Rock. But I'm quite open towards music genres. I love to go to live concerts.

What I'm trying to improve at the moment are my trombone improvisation skills. Also I want to get more into ski touring. And I would like to learn how to do a proper backflip, because that simply looks awesome =)
