Hi! My name is Michal and I'm 22, I live in Sopot, Poland. I study Architecture and Civil Engineering at Gdansk University of Technology. I still live with my parents, so my hosting possibilities are limited, but I'd love to show you my city:) (also Gdansk and Gdynia). I'm new on Coachsurfing and I think this site is a great idea.
I love travelling and meeting new people and I'm excited about this new (at least for me) way to do it :) I'm a very open-minded , curious about the world person and I look forward to getting to know new cultures with my hosts :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This summer me and a friend of mine are going for a hitchhiking trip throughout West Asia and Europe. We're flying to Kutaisi in Georgia and then we want to see the whole country. After that we want to go to Armenia, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Montenegro , Croatia , Hungary, Slovakia and back to Poland :) We have no accomodation plans, we're only taking a tent, but it would be awesome to have a host in some of these places, as it would make it easier to learn local culture and customs :)

Interests

I love travelling, but this will be my first hitchhiking trip, so I'm a little bit nervous;) Until now I was only travelling by plane or train. I also love to sightsee, I'm very interested in architecture as I study Architecture ;) I'm interested in foreign cultures and I read a lot about them. I do lots of sports, I play tennis, sail on Baltic sea, ski , ride a bike, go on a gym, I can't live without active leisure time ;) I'm also a movie-person, I've seen thousands of them and I really like conversations about them. And finally Glory Glory Man United !! :D

Books: Patrick O'Brien (all of them); "I, Claudius; Little Big Man"; "The kite runner" , "The young lions" (I like adventure books, especially the ones that take place in faraway spots)

Teach, Learn, Share

I know quite a lot about European History and Architecture, I'm also very keen on getting to know foreign cultures (especially from inhabitants). I can take you for a bike trip , or play tennis. I know my city very well , I know looots of fascinating places in Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia so if you need a guide don't hasitate to ask :))

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe I'm a good campanion, we can have interesting conversations about history, arts , architecture, movies and so on. I can tell you about my country, my culture. We can do some sports together , maybe go hike, or ride a bike. I also think I've seen quite a lot so we can talk about our travels. And of course I like to party sometimes, and I'd like to see how people spend leisure time in your country :))
