About Me
Current location: Aarhus, Denmark||| Next location: ✈️ ... Planning the next big adventure!
Host Profile:
PLEASE READ - Due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus, we will no longer be hosting until our government gives the okay to do so. We wish all travellers a safe and happy journey in these hard times. If you are in Aarhus, and in an emergency situation we can give advice and guidance as much as we possibly can. Look out for each other!
After many moons of travelling, my partner, Oliver and I are settled down in the second biggest city in Denmark called Århus. We can't wait to be returning the favor to host future couch surfers!
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or are maybe planning to travel to Århus in the future. We would appreciate that you read the whole profile and write a personal message, I know that sometimes it's a lot of work, but I promise you'll have a better experience for yourself if you're staying with someone you get on with well! Also, please read ''additional information'' before requesting!
We are very laid back and down to earth people and are taking a brief break from traveling to continue some of our education. We have been surfers and hosts before in other countries and would love the opportunity to do the same in Denmark! We are open to having a mix of cultures in the household as we are from two different countries ourselves and have lived in five different countries as well. We will happily share a meal with you and show you around the city if we're not to busy - If you catch us on a weekend or break then we'd happily join in on any adventures or adventure planning!
We are often getting a lot of requests - please write AARHUS HYGGE at the top of your request to show you’ve done some reading of my profile. Thanks!

Surfer Profile:
In January 2017 I did what any self-respecting and nomadic 20 year old would do and I quit my job, sold my belongings and moved to the United Kingdom from Canada. I'm currently making my rounds through Europe with not much more than my backpack and a bottle of wine on hand. (The essentials, am I right?)
I view every day as an opportunity to learn something new and I travel with a hunger to understand more about who I am and the world around me. I love to ask many questions and consider many possible answers before coming to any conclusions. I am not intimidated by difference of place or difference in others, in fact I place an abundance of value in the diversity of our world. When I travel I'm are eager to try to speak the languages, taste new foods, and meet, converse and listen with anyone I encounter along the way.
I believe strongly in taking any opportunity that comes my way and I make calculated risks when the benefit may be learning a new lesson or creating a great story. If something does not go as planned, I accept the changes and adapt to the reality of the circumstances. Some of my greatest tools as a traveller is my curiosity, flexibility, and openness. The destination as well as the journey go hand in hand and travel may well become my lifelong goal and practice.
I am driven to experience and appreciate beauty in all of its forms– the view of the clouds from the air plane, a piece of artwork, a human face, the sound of rain, the architecture of a bridge, or the taste of something cooked with skill to perfection. I drink in my surroundings as if it were a fine wine… Which, by the way, I quite enjoy fine wine, the cheap stuff too though. My love of shape and form makes travelling a delight as I move through new places with a sense of wonder and gratitude for this universe we call home.
“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” –Jawaharial Nehru
Current Adventure Plan: My travel comrade Oliver and I have been traveling together since July 2016, so far together we have seen bits and bobs of Canada, United States, Egypt, Denmark, England, Scotland, Italy, Norway, Germany, Netherlands, Thailand, Vietnam, & Malaysia. My traveling partner is from Denmark and we are now settled down in Aarhus, Denmark planning our next big adventure!! ✈️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I view the world as my home, which means I'm comfortable to live and travel in many different places. I define ‘neighbour’ as someone who lives across the globe as well as the person who lives next door. For this reason, I make lifestyle choices to support the idea that we are (and will continue to be) interconnected. There's no better way to get to know a country, culture, language or history than by getting to know it's people. For all these reasons couch surfing offers the perfect opportunity to see a place through a locals eyes while making some great friends along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
You can basically ask me to recite all of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Star Wars to you in my sleep. I guess you could say those are my favourites. They also kind of qualify as favourites in all three categories. I mostly gear myself towards fantasy/action type movies, but a good ol' tear jerking drama never hurts. Handsdown favourite television show is Game of Thrones.
I can get down with pretty much any kind of music, and there's absolutely nothing more releasing and soul filling than a live music gig.
In terms of books, I'm 110% sure I have a book hoarding problem. Needless to say, I've read a lot, I still have a lot more to read, and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. One of the only things I kept in storage when I left Canada was my ridiculous book collection.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Bad jokes, warm hugs (only if solicited, I promise) and I make a mean cup of tea. I'll also share wine with you, and give you nerdy facts about... Well... Anything nerdy, really.
