About Me

Hello to you!

I'm a sociable and easy going person (my smile is my ponctuation! :) )
I'm half French, half Irish, having studied Italian in an european school.

I like to learn about others in general and in the intercultural aspect.
my key word, that opens to every door... : UBUNTU (check on Mandela's definition: wonderful and wanderful)
I like to eat and drink in nicely local ways, dance like I don't care, when people make me laugh and I too (I make play on words... yep... British humour!), walk around museums, sense the architecture, and feel the sightseeing.

I'm an educator, working mostly with special needs children with mental disabilities. And I am passionate about my job, felt like a vocation.
(I'm about to arrive in Sweden and settle for a mid term job to work as closely as possible with children with learning issues, to inspire my working skills with those Scandinavians, known to be well in advance on pedagogical and social matters)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's my second time on that network, after a not so great experience in Rome two summers ago... But I don't despair! ^^
I like the idea that people are hosting because of being open minded, usally travelled a lot themselves, and not making other profit than to share and nourish themselves from the encounter.
A way of truly getting to know a city, a country by its people and culture, even more when they have several!

Interests

I have a very great interest in social interactions, laughing about them or analysing them (but never too seriously!)
I'm curious for about anything and willing to understand what I don't (limited in science... I'm more of literature and socio-historical interests...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Way of Compostella by the Basque's coast: that has been quite a way to challenge myself! And how much beauty my eyes have grasped there... To be continued...
And it took me to take a chance in Sweden to inspire my work, mind, and heart.

Teach, Learn, Share

"If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there" Lewis Carroll from Alice in Wonderland

Learn from others, from their way of having experienced their lives and travels. Always.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my english, french or italian skills, and some notions of French Sign Language, for curious minds :)
Share passions: my passion is about passionate people.
I am always ready to help, mostly when I'm hosted, as i consider it is the least I can do...
Buy some food and make homemade meals (french, italian, irish), a bottle of french wine, and my smile and enthusiasm!
