Overview
About Me
I'm new to couch surfing so be gentle. I'm a political science major turned English teacher (naturally). I've been teaching in Korea for 3 years, and for a little over a year in Thailand before that. I'm visiting friends in Oregon on my way back home to SA before moving back to Bangkok early next year with my boyfriend. Not sure what this thing called life is, but turns out no one else does either so I'm just trying to figure it all out whilst trying my best to live up to my 2 life mottos: 1) Work to live, don't live to work and 2) Don't be a dick. Full disclosure: I'm vegan. But that just means you don't need to worry about me eating your food if you're a meat-eater, and we can share recipes if you're not :) I'd also be happy to cook some yummy meals for us. I don't lecture or judge if you're not into that though.
I'm all about respecting other people's life choices - which goes for everything from food to sexual orientation to religion. You do you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm offering up my couch to help out my fellow travellers. I'm looking for a couch to meet cool locals, and because I didn't realise quite how expensive America is. Basically I'm hoping we can all help each other make travel a cheaper and more attainable option.
Interests
Travelling (of course), kickboxing, reading, lazy netflix nights, music, nights out with friends, boardgames and brunch on a Sunday and COFFEE.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Surivived a night bus in Cambodia. Pretty sure I'm invincible now. I also held the knee bone of a dinosaur in Laos and drank coffee at a sheep cafe' in Seoul.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you the alphabet in ASL, how to read Korean, and any random word in Afrikaans you'd like to know :P I can also teach you some basic kickboxing moves and how to cook some bomb vegan meals and desserts. I'm also free for advice for anyone looking to get into the ESL teaching world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm really polite and considerate (manners matter), I'll keep my space clean and even tidy up the kitchen and do the dishes. If you're open to carbs I can also teach you how to make some kickass vegan yummies
