About Me
"Quand le mystère est trop impressionnant, on n'ose pas désobéir."
It's always hard to describe yourself...
I am Janel, mexican and nomadic by nature.
I love to laugh and joke, lover of simplicity, passionate about nature (and life) I am a very calm person but I always enjoy a good party.
I enjoy deep conversations and others not so much, I love talking about controversial topics and nonsense, I love listening and exchanging stories and experiences.
I like to think, I love to know different cultures, religions, beliefs and philosophies of life, through people, talk with a child or an old man, there is always something to learn from each one, each person is a jewel and after all , we are not very different.
I am constantly moving, searching, finding, escaping, learning and renewing. Don't give me a choice between the mountain and the sea...
Not much to say, know me :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I discovered couchsurfing in 2015 while I was in an academic exchange in Spain.
I met many local people who helped me a lot and i made good friends by this site. All my experiences in CS have been wonderful and have left me with beautiful memories, so now i can't find another way to travel, knowing a place with local people is a very special way to know and live the true essence of the place.
* I love the mystery of not really knowing who the person you are going to meet will be.

Music, Movies, and Books
I could not spend a single day without listening to music ... from the Cuban trova to the Chilean cumbia, but old rock is definitely my favorite.
“Most men will not swim before they are able to.” Is that not witty? Naturally, they won't swim! They are born for the solid earth, not for the water. And naturally they wont think. They are made for life, not for thought. Yes, and he who thinks, what’s more, he who makes thought his business, he may go far in it, but he has bartered the solid earth for the water all the same, and one day he will drown.”
-Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf.
