About Me

Hi! My name is Marita. I love meeting new people and sharing time and experiences. "Compartir es vivir"

At the moment I live in Utrecht, a small and cozy city in the middle of the Netherlands. I have a spare bed in my room, so you could send me a message and if the date suits I would love to host and meet new people that I can show around in my city :) I like to dance (salsa) and visit music performances, as well as walking in the forest or just reading a book outiside at a sunny place or at home.

Last year I did an exchange semester in Medellín, Colombia, what was a great experience! Besides the design, I learned Spanish here what I like to practice as well as all other languages.

Together with a friend we cycled through Portugal last august. In the middle of august, we helped building a festival in Crato (Waking Life), so before and afterwards we had a long time to cycle and enjoy the pretty country.

Last june I finished my study Industrial design engineering in Delft, in the south-west of the Netherlands, a very authentic city/village near the sea. I live in Utrecht, where I was born and what is definately my favourite city with a looot of culture, alternative people, beautiful water to row on, and live music in every corner! Feel free to use my couch in Utrecht!

Lately, we cycled to Berlin where we had so good couch experiences and also in Colombia and Equador it turned out perfect to use this platform to get in contact with extremely nice people while travelling 2,5 months after my exchange semester.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Lately, we cycled to Berlin where we had so good couch experiences and also in Colombia and Ecuador it turned out perfect to use this platform to get in contact with extremely nice people while travelling 2,5 months after my exchange semester.

So great that you are all open to have people sleep in your house. I always like to meet new people, and love to do that in the way of couchsurfing. It makes travelling so easy and likable for both sides!

While cycling we always take the tent, but in the city it is quite impossible to camp. Couchsurfing would be the ideal solution, while being able to meet locals, have a great time together, get insights of the city, and not at least being cheep. Of course my couch in Utrecht is totally usable :)
