I am a geographer. I study and work at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. I am dealing with problems of hydrology, climatology, the science of the phenomena of ice, water management and ecology. I like travelling and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think thanks to this website I will be able to meet, visit and invite interesting people. Thanks to the kindness and hospitality of others I will be able to visit places that I have always wanted to see. Moreover I hope I will learn new languages that I like and I’ve always wanted to know even at the elementary level. Maybe I can arrange a trip with other members of couch surfing. I've got an idea of a few projects and I am interested in different proposals.

Interests

My interests are very different. I like trips to the mountains, climbing I was in Polish, Czech, Slovak and Ukrainian mountains. I like canoeing, biking and traveling by train. I really like history, history of traveling and mainly Polish travelers, especially the history of Polish mountaineers, Polish exiles to Siberia the history of Polish geographical discoveries and contemporary history, the history of Solidarity (Polish: Solidarność). I really like the Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians culture and not only I like recording, making films and drawing (creating graphics).

I like film music composers such as: Andrzej Korzyński, Michał Lorenc, Zbigniew Preisner, Adrian Konarski, Krzesimir Dębski, Ennio Morricone, Raymond Lefevre, Vladimir Cosma, David Tom, Klaus Doldinger, Burkhard von Dallwitz, Philip Glass, Bill Conti, Michel Legrand, Michel Polnareff, Yasuo Sugiyama, Yeann Tiersen, Gustavo Santaolalla, Michael Nyman, J.Ralph, Howard Shore. I like classical music (Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and others.) and electronic music (Jean Michel Jarre, Marek Biliński, Claudie Larson, Brian Bennett, Johnny Pearson, Jeff Newmann, John Fiddy, Vangelis) and music bands (Lady Pank, T. Love, Budka Suflera, Deep Purple, The Who, Ping Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Omega, Aphrodite's Child). I like singers (Vladimir Vysotsky, Jacek Kaczmarski). I like documentaries , plot and historical films and biographies (The Mission, Diarios de motocicleta) and movies with motif of the road (The Way Back, Into the Wild, So weit die Füße tragen), I don’t mind a good comedy and an action films as well (Three Days of the Condor, The Hunt for Red October, The Sting). I really like Russian cinema. When it comes to books I prefer biographies , historical and geographical books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo expedition through Ukraine.Then the second time in my life I’ve conquered the highest mountain peak of Ukraine Hoverla (2061 m). I was in way over a month I had a lot of interesting adventures, even I was able to work as a guide and spontaneous expedition to the Crimea.

Teach, Learn, Share

The town where I live is small but nicely situated surrounded by forests and lakes. You can sailing, cycling, swimming, fishing, walking, jogging whatever. There is quite short distans to Poznan. I can accommodate someone in Słupsk 18 km from the coast and take by the sea. I can show Gdańsk, Poznań Ustka Słupsk and Trzcianka.as a tour guide.
