First of all, hi everyone! :D

I am a software developer and, in the same time, an amateur musician from Latvia. I really like socializing, playing music with friends. Apart from music, I am a big fan of playing retro video games and sports video games with friends when we get together.

I really enjoy exploring places, especially the country I live in. In my opinion, the experience a person gets from traveling and exploring is priceless. This is why I really enjoy simply going somewhere even without planning - for example, I can (and I constantly do that) jump into the car after work and go to another city instead of home just because I am in a good mood and in a constant thirst for experience.

Don't be reluctant to spend time on new experience since it is something you won't ever lose or regret.

I also have to point out that I don't drink alcohol, don't smoke and I am vegetarian, however, I am not against other people doing all that! :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I started to listen to a podcast in Russian which was devoted to traveling and the host was always telling about couchsurfing. One of the episodes was entirely devoted to couchsurfing and it sounded really fascinating, I've decided to give it a try.

Music: Kraftwerk, modern chill out electronic music (e.g. Telefon Tel-Aviv) and heavy stuff (from classical rock and metal to modern stuff such as Lamb of God, Northlane and Animals As Leaders). I also like chiptune music!

Movies: A lot! My favorite is Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, however, that doesn't describe what I like at all! For example, I have a special place in my heart for Sci-fi movies.

Books: I like reading biographies, modern Russian writers (Pelevin, for example), historical books and classics. I also like the idea of audio books and used to listen to those a lot.
