I am often referred to as the "mother" among my group of friends. I think this is because I genuinely like to give all I can to someone in need. Whether it be advice, assistance or a listening ear.

In technical terms, I am an introverted extrovert.
As soon as I find myself in a comfortable space I easily open up and love to have conversations about art, current events and just about anything. I love meeting new people.

I have recently won an award called the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship meaning I will now be able to span my traveling experience abroad from August 2015- August 2016.

I have received an amazing award to spend a year independently traveling abroad. Therefore I am looking for hosts who can take me in during this time. I would love to be able to meet friendly faces along the way and connect with anyone who has any type of interest in art and culture. I would really love to be able to find hosts/travel companions who have an interest in dance and music and/or host who would be interested in helping me expand my language skills.

I am interested in anything dance, music and art related. I also love cooking, photography, weddings and familial celebrations, taking strolls through new neighborhoods, learning something new and exchanging cultures.
I am very crafty so I am constantly picking up new DIY skills and projects. I enjoy music/video production as well but I am still learning how to transition to the MAC way of life. I enjoy reading in my spare time and exercising as well.

I have been told that I have a very old soul and that comes across through my choice of favorite music. I love old Motown and R&B music. I also enjoy gospel, pop and alternative R&B music. When it comes to music, I can just about listen to anything.

This will sound weird but my favorite movies are the Nicohlas Sparks films. The Notebook, The Longest Ride, etc. I enjoy movies about romance, art, culture and the human life. Recently I have begun to look at old movies such as Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffanys, etc and have instantly begun to fall in love with the work from that time. Now while I love romance, I am also an adventure movie lover. Any Marvel inspired movie or anything from the Fast and Furious franchise is a winner for me. Finally, I have a special love for Disney movies, especially old Disney classics.

When it comes to books, I am still taking the time to figure out what I love. Dramas and Plays and different historical books about dance are what I have been currently reading. With that being said I am always welcome to a new book suggestion and any host who can provide me with new reads is a definite plus for me.

I have had the opportunity to present and debut two of my own original works of choreography to public audiences. They both were extremely special to me and if anyone is interested in discussing the work from either one I would be glad to share the information.

I am willing to teach you anything I know as well as learn anything new that you can share with me. Those looking to learn English, I can assist and I hope that you would be willing to help me learn your native language. I practice yoga and many other movement exercises so I am always up for sharing relaxation tips and finding a yoga/exercise buddy.

With hosts, I can share my love for new experiences. While I am comfortable with spending time in a home, I would also love to meet hosts who would be willing to spend occasional time exploring with me or showing me their culture. If anyone is looking to learn English, I would not mind having regular conversations so that we could both expand our language skills. I value respect, cleanliness, honesty and communication when it comes to my living accommodations so I will always provide my host with those things. I also love children and I have past experience with tutoring so if there are host who have families, do not hesitate to contact me.
