About Me

I worked as software developer for many years.
In 2015 I decided to quit my job, take a break in my life, and travel for a while, to see the world, different people and cultures.
I completed my first journey of nine months in South-Est Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Myanmar), Australia and New Zealand.
The experience was so amazing that, after a break of two months at home, I did a second travel of nine months in America, starting from Canada, along West coast of USA, down to Mexico, Central America and South America!
I closed my sabbatich period with the Camino of Santiago in Spain, another experience that teached me a lot and gave me the time to think about my future.
Now I'm at home in Italy since a couple of years, working in software again, but planning my next steps, as I feel that the office is not my future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to try a new way of travelling, meeting local people and learning deeper the local culture.
Hopefully I will also get the chance to host travellers.

Interests

I love travelling: when I visit a new place, I can't stop walking and going around to see as much as possible of it.
I'm addicted to photography: when I travel, my camera is always with me, and I take a picture of everything catching my eyes.
I like music, I can play guitar a bit.
I have a passion for computers and technology.
And... I love flying, I'd like to get a license for small airplanes or gliders one day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Queen, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Lynard Skynard, and rock music in general.
"Back to the future" is the favorite movie from my childhood.
I loved "The alchemist" by Paulo Coelho.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walk more than 900 kilometers on the Camino of Santiago, from Saint Jean Pied De Port to Finisterre, meeting many nice pelgrims on the way.
