About Me

I like: eccentric people, liquorice, books in nearly all their shapes, roses, walking quickly, velvet, impressionist painters, bats, words, hats, LISTS.

I have: two beautiful cats, a new hobby every two weeks more or less, a good memory for bad jokes, a different hair style every time I wake up, curiosity.

Gets on my nerves: spelling mistakes (it also gets on my nerves to think that I'm the kind of person who gets nervous about spelling mistakes, but I can't help it), Christmas, small talk, going to the bank.

Makes me laugh: puns, small children's honesty, English comedies, when someone gets very angry about something stupid... and yes, I admit it: cat videos on Youtube.

I use to: write down sentences of people, books or films that catch my attention, drink about four tea cups a day, hold the door for the person who comes behind me.

I dislike: that disgusting white liquid that there's in yoghourts when you open them, ballet, action movies, non-action movies where nothing never happens, fast food.

I am: ...? No idea. I don't think I can give an answer to that question. That's why I've randomly written some things I can answer about myself, to see if anyone gets any conclusion out of them and would like to let me know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly, by selfish interest, of course! I prefer ONE THOUSAND TIMES more to be a visitor than a tourist: it's great knowing people in other places, and seeing their homeplace through their eyes, and learning those things that none touristic guide can tell you.

Also, it's equally great to return the favour, and making stranger people feel at home, and listening to their stories!

Interests

Literature, gardening (I'm currently following gardening lessons), drawing, theatre (either going, or acting myself), listening to people, and knowing about their lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is very tough, because I like most music, most movies, and most books... So I'll do it the other way around, and I'll say some of my less-favourite-ever of all-time. Those that, yeah, sorry, I've tried, but... no, I don't like them. Good for you if you do!

Music: I don't know why, and I know I'm very alone in this, but I can't stand the song "Zombie" by The Cranberries.

Movies: again, I may lose friends because of this, but... "Dead poets society" makes me cringe.

Books: KAFKA. I know he's good. But I also find him and his endless novels incredibly boring. No, I don't care what the insect is a metaphor for.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Adopt a cat! And once I had it, cut her nails every time they're too long. It may not sound like an amazing thing, but you don't know my cat. Cutting her nails is a very dangerous thing, and requires a GREAT courage.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I guess everyone says the same here, but I'm very easy-going and I have good conversational skills. And I can cook. Also, my hosts will have my ever-lasting gratitude, which... who knows? May be useful some time!
