About Me

I lived in Dublin for 25 years until May 2015 when I made the biggest leap of my life and have been having the most incredible adventure ever since.

I try to be grateful in every moment. I believe in the kindness of humanity and that by combining our forces we can achieve anything!

I graduated with a degree in landscape architecture from University College Dublin and have come to the states to put what I've learn and love to use. After some travelling I landed in Portland, Oregon where I was planning to settle until August of this year. A change of heart has my new destination nearer the east coast, I've just moved to Detroit!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend I made while travelling Guatemala told me about couch surfing and I am eternally grateful to her. I've used it while travelling in the states and have been blown away by the people and experiences I've been exposed to. I'm constantly inspired by those I meet. The instant connections you can make with people is a beauty of life.

I'm very much looking forward to hosting once I have a place to call my own. Which will hopefully be very soon!

Interests

I love being outdoors! Hiking, cycling, tennis, field hockey, hurling (Irish sport), tag rugby, swimming, golf, whatever I'm given the chance to try. I've also been sailing since I was a kid and taught and coached for 7 years.

Music festivals. Everything about them, live music, new friendships, adventure and everything in between. They are probably where I am most happy and myself. I've been to 7 music festivals since I've been in the states and many more in Ireland, Spain, France and Croatia.

I have the travel bug. The most amazing part of the last 10 months being on the road is the people I have met. I have been blown away by the kindness of people and have learnt something new from everyone I have encountered.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is definitely a passion on mine. I love learning about new music from places where I've been and people I've met while travelling.

I mostly read non fiction books where there are lessons or new ideas to be learnt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living life is a pretty amazing achievement

Teach, Learn, Share

I think you can be surprised at what you can teach someone, how much you can learn from the little things and how sharing experiences with new friends make them feel like old ones.
