About Me

I'm looking forward to travel to any country which I could exchange a smile.

I truly believe in change based on natural life processes, but also through revolutions, consciences expanding and resistant bodies.

Since I finished my studies at college I’ve been moving and searching constantly; jobs already packed in statal positions are not made for me.

Three years ago I decided to start a journey to learn how to work and feel with my hands and since then, my steps go at the pace that my heart dictates.

You can know more about me while you follow my steps in Latin America by reading this ✨

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join couchsurfing because I think it's time to start a different way to travel.

Interests

I'm this type of person who thinks that big changes can be possible through small actions.

I studied social work focus on children and teenagers.
I love my profession and I'm very optimistic with my path. I have some projects boiling in my mind about that and I love pick teachings here and there, so maybe we can both be inspired suddenly.

I'm a lover of strong exotic flavours, deep and spontaneously conversations, capuccinos with a gentle cream on the top, being oxygenated with the breeze that wake me up, big breakfasts, the pleasure and pride that comes from hard work and quick breathing, waterfalls, yoga, outdoors activities, true hugs, the roar of the words sounding, my beautiful notebooks and fill them with descriptions and sensations and dancing wild. Listening a lot and open my eyes.

I really like street mural paintings, specially the ones that express freedom and remember revolutions. Strong supporter of democratic art in the street.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is life and dancing a necessarily and natural expression of the body.

I like any kind of music that give me good energy, depends on the mood and where I a am; such as old rock, funk, blues, soul, indie folk, swing, 80's pop, reggae, dancehall, rumba flamenca, arabic music, cumbia, bachata, champeta africana, salsa. All kinds of mix and fusions.

I always walk around with a few books in my backpack. I love realistic and intimist books and movies and some metaphysical movies.

Isabel Allende and Khaled Hosseini novels, especially El cuaderno de Maya, Paula and The kite runner.
The power of now by Eckhart Tolle and Siddharta by Hermann Hesse.
Absolutely love "Women who run with the wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.

Movies like Origins (not Origin), The fountain, Y tú mamá también, Kiki: el amor se hace, El olivo, El laberinto del fauno, Amelie, Coherence, Interestelar, The Intouchable, The sessions, Babel, Katmandu, One flew over the Cucko's nest, As good as It gets, Pulp Fiction, Dallas Buyers Club, Nadie quiere la noche, The angel's share, La vie d'Adèle...
Series like Black Mirror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Be proud of myself, be able to travel alone, be able to share, to learn and receive.
Take the time to have a healthy breakfast and enjoy it with all the senses.
Play with children.
Be able to get into the heart of an adolescent.
Work with my hands, know the earth, my body.
Dance without conditions, without shame.
Say good morning and have a smile to each person I get trough.
Eat after a hard trekking.
True hugs.

Teach, Learn, Share

Connections are the flame that engage love. I'm totally loyal to my friends and family, love listening to them and helping them. I like to be present, watching to the eyes and be able to understand my inside.

One of my passions is cooking and tasting everything I can! For me, food is not just material support for the body; it’s also a nexus between humans, families, and people from here and there. In this stew there's a combination of strong roots, ancestral knowledge, life metaphors, historical explanations and future visions, each one’s identity and experimented art.

So maybe I can share with you some Mediterranean food such as fresh and delicious salads, some Mexican dishes and my secret grandma's recipes 💛

I've been colaborating in social organizations for long time ago in very different cultural contexts, specially focused on alternative pedagogy, agroecological farms and environmental education. So we can exchange ideas, projects and I can help you in anything I can do and you need :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can exchange different visions of life as well as dynamism, desires to discover and learn, landscapes and culinary recipes. :)
