About Me
Well what can I say! Very fun and out going guy! Love to travel and meet new people. Now I've couch surfed before, but technology really has made things easier. I've done this the traditional way, where you go to a bar after arriving from the airport, bags in hand and a mouthful of life stories. You meet a few people and hopefully one or more becomes your lifelong friend (which is usually the one you connected with long enough to get a spot on their couch)! Lol this is so much cooler!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well I've heard about it from a friend, and I like to travel. More recently, I’ve been on a vision quest to see different parts of the world and find that inner sanctuary through nature. I used to think that working, acquiring things and hoarding were part of life’s demands. For the past five months I’ve been on disability from work and have done my best to not be down about my situation. I’ve toured 60% if the country in that time and will continue until my employer can find reasonable accommodation for my work return! Hotels and Airbnb can be expensive. So I get them when I can. But I’ve slept on beaches, in my car, and in subways As well. I’m not homeless, and can manage fine, the joy I get from meeting new people and making life long friends around the world more than make up for any inconvenience!
Interests
Music. I love jazz, all types of Latin music (merengue, reggae ton, tango). I like to read and watch political debate both serious and silly. I have a strong interest in race, foreign and socio-economic relations. But I'm a workaholic so many of these things happen very intermittently.
