Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in country Victoria until moving to Melbourne when I was 18. I studied History and Philosophy at University and since completing my bachelor degree I've been working and saving towards a long-term adventure to Europe. My passions include art (all forms though I'm predominantly a musician), learning, the environment, cooking, connecting with people and exploring the world. I lived in London for a year and in the Scottish Highlands for a year and now I'm travelling around Europe for as long as possible. I consider myself to be kind, compassionate and respectful. I'm sociable, always up for meeting new people, and willing to give anything a go. But also respect people's own space if and when they need it. I'm also more than happy to help around house and will insist on helping to contribute. I'd be eternally grateful if you let me stay in your home and will return the favor if you ever venture to Melbourne!

Music, Movies, and Books
A few in no particular order..
MUSIC: 60's/70's rock, pop and psychedelia (Beatles, Zeppelin, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, etc, etc), Folk (Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Neil Young, Simon and Garfunkel, Tallest Man on Earth, Nick Drake, Courtney Barnett, Devendra Banhart, Paul Kelly), grunge, rock'n'roll, hip hop, electronic, classical, jazz, soul, world, afrobeat. The list is endless, I think just about every genre can be a great vehicle for art. Melbourne's live music scene is insanely good at the moment.
BOOKS: recently I've read and loved.. The Great Railway Bazaar - Paul Theroux, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Tests - Tom Wolfe, To Kill a Mocking Bird - Harper Lee, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest - Ken Kesey, A Brief History of Time - Steven Hawking, On the Road - Jack Kerouac, Foundation - Isaac Asimov, Heart of Darkness - Joseph Conrad
MOVIES/Filmmakers: Into the Wild, Monty Python, Memento, anything by Tarantino, Fight Club, American Beauty, The Mule, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Chris Nolan's Batman's, Miyazaki, Disney, Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese... and the list goes on and on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in the Scottish Highlands. The hills at my doorstep, climbing one a week for 9 months
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food! By no means am I a chef but I love to cook. When I learnt I was vegetarian so a lot of my favourite dishes are meatless.
Music! I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family where music was strongly encouraged. I play the guitar, bass, percussion, piano and love to sing. The appreciation of music is one of my biggest passions and my palette is very diverse so I'm sure there will be plenty of music we can bond over. The music scene in Melbourne is incredible at the moment and I'd love to share the stuff I'm hearing with the world.
My story! It's nothing exceptionally crazy but I've definitely got a few interesting/humorous/ridiculous stories to tell.
A positive energy and companion! I'm always up for something new and am rare to complain. If there's something you've always wanted to do, let's do it.
