About Me

I consider myself and easygoing, sociable person. I like engaging in any activity that looks even slightly fun, and I also like making myself useful, helping people in any way I can.
I'm a dog person (although I like cats too), non smoker, and a decent cook.
Right now I'm traveling through Southeast Asia with me girlfriend, reconsidering what I would really like to do in the future.
Also, as a side project, I'm trying to play football in every country I visit! So far it has been going really well, so please don't mind if I ask about where I can play, should we meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think I have the same goal as everyone here: Making new friends. Simple as that. You could say it's similar to the way a kid sees others playing and just goes there, says hi and joins the game. Now we can do (almost) the same, with a little help from this platform, with people everywhere in the world... it's really amazing in its simplicity.

Interests

First, the ones that come with being an argentinian: Football, chatting about everything, meat and dulce de leche. And tango. And mate, but only for the conversation part.
I can't live without learning new things, absorbing new information, and that's why I travel whenever I can, and read whatever I can. That helped me find a lot of different interests: arts (specially literature and music), science, sports, languages... Also, I think I can be interested in any subject, in a conversation, as long as I can see the other person is passionate about it.
And eating. I like food, very very much.

Music, Movies, and Books

I wouldn't like to make (or read) a long list, so I'm going to mention just a few ones.
Music: A lot of latin american music (MPB, tango and milonga, salsa, latin jazz), rock, jazz. I would kill to see Joao Gilberto live.
My favorite movies have a little surrealism in them, like the ones written by Charlie Kaufman. I also love Woody Allen's (even the "bad" ones) and Studio Ghibli's.
And books... First comes Borges, and then everyone else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quitting my job and going on a trip with my girlfriend. It was an amazing decision for various reasons: Changing the way I think a person has to make a living, the way I experience my relationship, and trying to find a new path.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would feel sorry for you if you couldn't find a better teacher... But I guess I can teach a little bit of Taekwondo, or some software basics. Or at least some guitar chords, to play an easy tune.
And for the other part, well, is difficult to find something I wouldn't enjoy learning, at least for a while!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I (hope) can share a little piece of my homeland which I really love, or actually, hate to love. And the experiences I had traveling, specially in this last trip around Southeast Asia.
Also, I have a lot of doubts I can share; maybe they can be the start of a really good conversation.
