---My current living situation doesn't allow me to host. It is temporary but until I can get back into the hosting game I'm up for meeting some interesting new friends. We can trail run, hike, bike, mountain climb, eat, drink, hang out and talk or whatever.---

I live in an old house very close to down town Akureyri. Every other week I share my home with my lovely five year old daughter. I enjoy meeting couch surfers but she does so even more so if you're lucky you will meet two enthusiastic people. If you're unlucky you will have to settle for the old man.

I like to think I'm pretty relaxed about stuff and I enjoy hosting interesting people from time to time. I usually get a lot of requests so don't take it badly if I say no for no particular reason.

I like to get to know all kinds of people. I don't care about your religion, sexual orientation or identity or any of that shit. I do care about you being a decent human being though.

I don't have any rules or special requisites set in stone but I like:

People that want to stay more than one night
People that like beer
People that feed me (I'm a simple man)
People that are friendly
People that speak good English
People that have hosted other couch surfers before asking to be hosted
People that don't take life too seriously and can make me laugh

If none if this applies to you just send me a request anyway, maybe I'll just need to broaden my horizon.

Last minute requests are okay and kind of encouraged.

Making stuff, especially out of wood. History and education. Psychology and pedagogy. Reading and writing. Hiking and camping. Listening to music and sometimes playing the guitar badly.

I love cooking and if you can share with me something about your food culture or just about any kitchen stuff I'll be glad.

I really like folk and folk rock. Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Paul Simon are among my favorite artists. Other examples of artists I listen to are Norah Jones, Sia, Emiliana Torrini, Metallica, Beck and R.E.M.

I read a lot and my favorite titles are East of Eden, 1984, Independent People, Dune, The Martian and HHGTTG.
