Overview
About Me
I am a 20-year-old Dane from the town of Silkeborg, Denmark. Very soon, I am going to Strasbourg, France, to participate in a Sérvice Civique project at the European Engineering School on the topic of eco-friendliness.
I love music, books, discussions and last but not least, traveling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I often find that it can be difficult to experience what really goes on in the larger European cities, when you visit as a regular tourist. Therefore couchsurfing seems to be a great way to meet the inhabitants of a city and saving quite a lot of money at the same time. I try to be as openminded as possible and staying at some fancy Hilton Hotel is just a way of wasting a journey.
Interests
Traveling - Traveling has been a large part of my upbringing and I couldn't imagine a life without it as it seems crucial in order to understand, respect and keep learning.
Music - I spend a whole lot of time listening to and playing music. I started playing the alto saxophone 9 years ago and today I play the tenor. I am always on the look-out for music-related experiences while traveling.
Reading - Especially while traveling, reading is a large interest of mine. I find that a change of scenery and getting away from the everyday hassle enhances reading.
Nature and hiking - As much as I like cultural experiences in large important cities, I love the absolute peace of nearly uninhabited or uninhabited nature. I find it soothing and refreshing, it always feels good to get away from it all. I like to hike in this context in particular. I was a Boyscout for more than 10 years and that has had a large impact on me.

In books, i have just started reading Dostoyevsky's "The Idiot", my travel book is Thoreau's "Walden" which i read little by little as it is nicest to read a few pages and then get to complete understanding of the philosophy and because it is in eighteenth century english.
Furthermore i like Isabel Allende, Erlend Loe and Jan Guillou's "Brobyggerne" and the rest of the series
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saw Lee Konitz play in Aarhus at age 87.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to exchange some knowledge within the realm of music. Furthermore, you are welcome to practice English or Danish with me, I myself would also like to practice Spanish or French.
Lastly, I try to eat as much vegan/vegetarian food as possible. So if you have any experiences with this kind of food I would love to hear you out, otherwise, I can show you some of my hummus recipes ;-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love conversations in smaller groups. As i am a very calm person i tend not to take much part in conversations where one has to shout or speak up to be heard, but i can talk for many hours about practically anything as long as i know that everyone is being heard. I love sharing thoughts on music, showing others artists I love and being exposed to new music myself. I, like so many other, believe that you can learn a lot from anyone as long as you have the desire to do so.
