Overview
About Me
I am 24 years old from Santa Cruz, Ca. Growing up I was big into playing sports, particularly baseball, but over the past few years I have been fortunate to develop many more hobbies and passions. I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to go to University. As it turns out, Utah is an amazing place to enjoy the outdoors, and I fell in love with the amazingly stunning and diverse landscapes. I got into photography, became borderline obsessed with skiing, and got to enjoy backpacking, river trips, and a bit of rock climbing. Those visiting the United States should strongly consider adding Utah to their itinerary!
Anyway, I went traveling when I was 19. And not surprisingly, I loved it! I have long wanted to go on another trip, and after 5 years it is finally here. I hope to travel for a few years, following my nose around the globe while getting jobs along the way. First up, I'm headed to Vietnam to try my luck in the business of teaching English. I am actually interested in Education as a career, so teaching abroad is appealing to me on a number of levels.
I can't wait for this adventure and I hope I can share it with some of you awesome Couch Surfers!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have just heard to many positive reviews not to give it a try. It seems like couch surfing has a way of attracting awesome people, and I want to be in on this. Saving a bit of money while meeting locals seems like a no brainer to me.
I also hope to host couch surfers at some point if I get a more permanent residence. Travels are the most enthusiastic people in the world, why not invite that enthusiasm into your home?!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I am a bit of a throw back. I love classic rock, mo-town, Sinatra type stuff, and everything 80's. I like some current stuff too but I tend to gravitate towards the oldies.
Movies: Just a couple off the top of my head. The Sandlot, The Goonies, Seven Years in Tibet, Zoolander, Forest Gump, Footloose.
Books: The Alchemist, Into Thin Air, Snowy Mountain Passage, Tuesdays with Morrie. I am trying to read more frequently and am accepting book recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing might be an exaggeration, but this is silly, and I am oddly proud of it.
When I was 16 I work food stalls at an amusement park, one of the most popular in California. One day I set a sales record at the funnel cake stand. I know the owner and he recently informed me, that 8 years later, the record still stands! I'm stoked!
Haha!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help teach hosts English if its not their native language. Anything I can help with I am happy to learn.
I am down to learn anything people can teach. Particularly cooking, I love cooking with friends and learning from each other.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can hopefully share stories and enthusiasm with hosts.
