Overview
About Me
I'm from Portugal but live in London at moment.
Except for when I'm away on some remote mountains somewhere else! (which happens pretty much every wekend)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great way to meet new people and come in contact with new cultures when travelling.
Interests
I take every opportunity I can to go hiking. The wildest the place the better and preferably find a camp spot away from everything and enjoy a warm meal under the stars.
If I can't do that, I spend my time climbing or praticing martial arts.
Love boardgames and painting, but the busy PhD life has kept me away from those hobbies for a long time...
- cooking
- camping
- rock climbing
- kung fu
- judo
Music, Movies, and Books
Lord of the rings of course!
Music: my friends say I got stuck in the 80s.
Not entirely true... My alarm clock is Thundersrtuck by ACDC though.
I also (try) to play the harmonica.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built an electric car that, with a quarter of your toaster's power, can safely reach 80 km/h with someone inside it.
Also hiked 370km in Iceland with no support last year. A trip full of wild volcanos, abandoned hot springs, hypothermia and interesting stories!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can probably tell you about some amazing hiking destinations.
Can try to teach you some languages as well. I say try because numbers is more my thing :)
Of course that if you are remotely interested in climbing (or even if not at all) it is my duty to take you climbing!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully some interesting stories.
And my cooking skills which have been praised all over the world!
