I'm presently living in Moncton with my boyfriend Philippe. I'm completing a master in social work and working in a women's shelter. Philippe is working for différent NGO (litteracy, alimentation, youth, etc.). We love gardening, cooking with local ingredients and going to the theatre or music shows.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hostels are Ok but couchsurfing allows you to meet local people who know their city well and can give you good advice.

Interests

We both like to spend time in the garden, biking, watching movies, reading, traveling, having meals with friends and family.

Other interests include discovering new local bands and visiting art galleries, murals, museums, book stores and other cultural events.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of Almodovar, Tim Burton, and Wes Anderson films. I also enjoy superhero movies and tv series. Philippe likes all of the above too, plus French canadian filmmakers like Dolan, Falardeau, Villeneuve, etc.

In terms of music, we listen mostly to french and english music but also love the Beatles (we're a bit nostalgic!)

For books, we like a wide range of authors going back to Victor Hugo to more recent Naomi Klein, with many french canadian authors in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have both jumped out of a plane a few times...sky diving of course;)

Teach, Learn, Share

We enjoy board and dice games such as crib, backgammon, cards, etc.

Drawing and painting have always been a great past time for me. Philippe is more into sports but we both love to learn new things.

In terms of food, I'm vegetarian and Philippe eats a bit of meat, and we would love to share recipes!
