Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling around Europe in August for holidays and look forward to staying with locals and meeting new people. It's always fun to talk with a local and experience a city from the point of view of someone that lives in the city.

Interests

I love all things sports, especially football, American football and basketball. Having studied political science in university, I love reading about politics around the world. I also enjoy doing activities outside like hiking and going to the beach.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm in the process of reading A Song of Ice and Fire and love the show Game of Thrones. Some of my other favorite books are 1984, Catcher in the Rye, and Cloud Atlas.
As far as movies, I like almost any type of movie, as long as it's good. Some of my favorites include Goodfellas, Pan's Labyrinth, Birdman, No Country for Old Men, and many many more.
I like all types of music with some of my favorite bands being the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Of Monster and Men, Alt-J and some rap music as well like Kendrick Lamar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing thing I've done is hike the Porcupine Mountains in Northern Michigan near Lake Superior. The nature and scenery in the mountains are beautiful and the Lake itself is one of the most beautiful places I've been.
Another one of my favorite adventures was diving off the coast of Honduras on an island called Roatán. The island is home to one of the largest coral reefs in the world and therefore is perfect for diving. The crystal clear water and beautiful weather are an added bonus.
