I am friendly, easygoing, and adaptable. My life is centered around being active, creative, adventurous, and thoughtful. I love a good laugh and am open and comfortable with new people, places and experiences.

I just graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and am spending the next few months living out of my backpack and soaking up as much adventure, experience, and beauty as I possibly can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, and couchsurfing is an excellent way to experience new places. I want to meet interesting, open-minded people and experience the local perspective during my travels.

My standards for accommodations are pretty low - I will sleep on a floor if the company is good!

Im relatively new to surfing but have had some wonderful experiences in Germany and Italy so far.

I look forward to hosting travelers in the future!

Interests

- I am very passionate about music. I am a singer, and love to sing blues, jazz, bluegrass, classic rock, folk...you name it, and I'll sing it. I love to jam with new musicians! I also seek out live music, and love to dance.
- I also love art and draw myself. I always carry a sketchbook with me when I am traveling.
- I stay very active and take advantage any opportunity to be outside. I love hiking/backpacking, swimming, running, rock climbing, kayaking, roller blading/skating, and biking. I also play lacrosse competitively.
- I love animals and children!
- Science, especially genetics, immunology, and neurobiology.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I have a wide variety of interests, including jazz, electronic, funk, hip-hop, classical, blues, folk, classic rock, metal, and bluegrass. I definitely have an open mind and am constantly searching for new songs and artists!

Books/movies: mysteries and thrillers are always great. I love Alfred Hitchcock films and the Milennium series. I also love science fiction and fantasy stories, as I have a vivid imagination. Some favorites include Name of the Wind, Game of Thrones, Dune, and the Lord of the Rings. Other favorite books include East of Eden by John Steinbeck, Anna karenina by Tolstoy, and Beloved by Toni Morrison.
